Speaking to Japanese magazine ASCII, a Sony representative confirmed that they have put a limit on the size of files that can be downloaded by PlayStation Vita over 3G.
At launch in Japan, PlayStation Vita won't be able to download files that exceed the size limit of 20MB through 3G but this might change in the future, the spokesman said.
Sony didn't confirm or deny if a similar limit will be set in North America and Europe when the handheld launches there.
It is worth noting that this 20MB limit is the same as the one Apple maintains for its iOS devices.
PlayStation Vita will launch in Japan on December 17th, 2011 where its 3G service will be provided by NTT DoCoMo and it will launch in USA early in 2012 where its 3G service will be provided by AT&T.
