SONY has decided to revise its Playstation 2 sales forecast and has reduced the initial estimate by 10 %.
Instead of the 10 million units, which SONY had forecast, 9 million consoles are expected to be shipped by the end of this year.
Europe and the US will get the initially forecast number of units, 3 Million each, but Japan's quota has dropped by 1 million from the 4 million consoles initially expected.
This announcement by SONY came amidst the expected software shipment delays, mostly due to the delay in the release of the big titles, and the warning by the Japanese giant that losses are expected to be higher than initially announced.
