Poor old PS4, it's launch line up is getting worse and worse. Not only has Watch Dogs dropped off its day one radar, but now Drive Club has too. Like Watch Dogs, it's been pushed back to the vague date of 'some time in 2014.'
The excuse given by British, Sony first party dev, Evolution Studios, is that the game needs that little bit longer to polish. Sony President Kazui Hirai said that "the team needs more time to deliver on its vision." He added that he expected there to be no more problems leading up to release however.
So where does this leave Sony's launch lineup? Fortunately there's still a fair few games for fans to look forward to, including: KillZone: Shadow Fall, Assassins Creed IV, Fifa 14, Call of Duty Ghosts, Battlefield 4 and Need for Speed Rivals.
There's also some current-gen ports going over like Minecraft, and some free to play titles like War Thunder and DC Universe that will be available to everyone on day one. PlayStation Plus members, will also be getting Contrast, as part of the "instant game collection," package.
One theory floating around regarding the Drive Club delay, is that it might have been pushed back in order to not go head to head with Microsoft's Forza Motorsport 5. What do you guys think? Did Sony want to avoid competition, or do you think the features in Drive Club were a little too ambitious to put together for launch?
