PS4 Kenshin update adds extra cloud storage space and more

PlayStation 4 owners will be waking up to a new firmware patch today which brings the system in-line with version 3.0.0, Kenshin. It adds a number of new features, including Youtube Streaming for those that trust they won't get burned by the Content ID system, and extra cloud storage space, offering up to 10GB for those that want to store a bit more away from home.

To help communities coordinate a little better, Sony has also added an events hub, which lets people receive news about new game updates and features, as well as special events like double XP weekends and certain sales.

Grouping players together will also be easier, with the ability for players to come together around their favourite games and levels/missions, as well as the ability to discuss it through community message boards.

"If you want to tackle a big multiplayer raid, but don't have enough friends, this could be a great way to connect with other likeminded players," Sony said (via EG).

There's also a new feature where you can share video clips of your gameplay straight to Twitter, though users are limited to 10 seconds a pop.
