If you're a PC gamer of any repute, then chances are at some point in your gaming career you've owned a Razer peripheral. It might have been a mouse, or a mat, a keyboard, a headset or any number of other little extras to help you in your quest to gaming dominance. Who would have thought, that a company making these low-margin products, could ever become the giant it is today?
That giant is now thought to be worth as much as a billion dollars.
This news comes from a leaked memo discovered by TechCrunch, which reads: "We're already one of the billion dollar unicorns in the tech start-up world, and now we've got more resources than ever to allow us to focus on designing and developing the best experiences for gamers worldwide."
What those sorts of new experiences might be, nobody knows, but considering Razer's Hydra development and the recent push for virtual reality, perhaps we'll see some more Razer branded peripherals designed to help us interact better than ever before with the digital world.
However Razer has also been developing wearables as of late, so we could see a combination of the two technologies to deliver motion tracking and body stat recording.
What do you guys think Razer will make a push for next?
