If you liked the look of previous PS4 only release of the Resident Evil VII Beginning Hour demo but didn't have access to the console to try it out yourself, never fear as it's now available worldwide on PC too.
Resident Evil VII puts you in the shoes of Ethan Waters, who wishes to investigate strange happenings following the death of his wife. He believes she's still alive and in the opening of the game is tasked with looking into a creepy household, filled with dangerous and murderous characters.
As with previous Resident Evil games there are guns, there are puzzles to solve and there are jump scares, but this game really stands out for its gritty, washed out color scheme and high-fidelity graphics, which add a whole new level of uneasiness to the experience.
Since it has arrived later in the year, the demo has all of the extras added to the PS4 demo since its debut, as well as some new graphical options for PC gamers.
Of the 80+ reviews the demo has so far received on Steam, most have been very positive, praising the demo/game's atmosphere, its setting and its graphics. This, even though the requirements are not as high as you might think.
Have any of you tried the demo out yet? How did you find it?
