The League of Legends MMO is still well under development, with Riot looking to expand its team working on the game with a series of new hires. The game, currently codenamed as World of Runeterra, needs developers with experience in gameplay engineering, game design, UX design, game art, and game production, to help flesh out the team working on it.
"No, you’re not dreaming, we’re working on an MMORPG based in the League universe!" the World of Runeterra website says. "We know MMOs take a lot of people to create, and we’ll need a pretty big raid team if we want to bring Runeterra to life. That's where you come in. We’ll periodically post new roles, but right now we don’t have any specific openings on the team—we’re just gearing up for the journey (and need to replace our greens first)."
Although Riot is specifically targeting developers who have experience working on MMOs, it's not mandatory for every position. Mainly it just wants experienced developers. If that's you, and you want to work on what will undoubtedly be a huge game backed by some of the biggest financial interests in gaming, it might be worth considering replying.
Riot perks include healthcare, family care, paid time off, retirement matching, donation matching, and a play fund that kicks you a few bucks to buy games or in-game cosmetics with. it is a game developer, after all.
