Rockstar comments on GTA V PC release: it's coming

Late last week the internet was awash with rumours that egads, Rockstar might have stopped developing GTA V for the PC! This would be a bit of a ridiculous idea unless there was some serious financial reason not to, as even though the game is getting a bit long in the tooth at this point, the PC release is what keeps these games relevant for years to come with mods and tweaks. Fortunately and unsurprisingly, it turns out the rumours are false and Rockstar has now issued a statement confirming them as such.

"I'm also looking forward to the PC release, however this release date has not changed. Please see our support article, "Grand Theft Auto V Release Date on PlayStation®4, Xbox One, and PC" for the most recent information on this topic," said a Rockstar spokesperson in the official support thread.

For reference, the article that Rockstar is referring to, pens the release for the PC, Xbox One and PS4 versions of the game for fall 2014." This was recently backed up by UK retailer Game which suggested it had been given a placeholder date of sometime in November.

So if you haven't yet stepped back onto the bustling streets of Los Santos yet, you'll soon be able to do it on a number of different (and new) platforms. Who's excited?
