Wondering just how realistic Nvidia's claim of 8K gaming is? Now we know. It's not half bad. You can't expect anything more than 60 FPS even in select games, and Nvidia has been really, really selective in both the games and the settings that third-party testers are using in its demonstrations, but the results are still impressive. Locked 60 FPS gameplay at the highest resolution possible, even on a TV that costs $30,000.
MKBHD was the first to get out front and center with this new footage, and he played around with Forza Horizon 4, and it looks gorgeous. At this kind of detail, the YouTube algorithm really doesn't do the footage justice. Especially since, unfortunately, MKBHD's footage is only available at 1080p.

For most games, a higher frame rate at 4K is still going to be a more enjoyable, smoother, and better looking experience, but we may only be a generation or two away from 8K gaming being possible at high FPS, which means anti-aliasing is on its last legs, and 8K displays better get a lot cheaper so we can start to enjoy it.
