Sega has spent time recently working on some improvements to its current catalogue of Dreamcast ports, though it seems to have been doing so on the sly. However, it's now copped to it after a user spotted some changes being made to the games, including the addition of achievements.
"You may have noticed some new things crop up in our existing Dreamcast collection on Steam, such as achievements," it said on the official forum. Currently this content isn’t accessible but it’s part of an initiative from SEGA over the next few months which is going to improve the player experience for these titles."
Unfortunately though, it wasn't able to come clean on when these changes would actually come and how long they would take to implement: We don’t have an exact date for these improvements just yet but please bear with us, we’ll keep you posted with more information just as soon as we’re able to."
As it stands, it's not entirely clear which games are set to see improvements, butt presumably (and hopefully) it's all of them. Some fans have called for specific changes to games, such as tweaked controls in Sonic Adventure and an HD re-release of certain titles.
Are there any Dreamcast games that you guys feel could do with some tweaks on their Steam version?
