Shadowrun Chronicles goes gold with new trailer

Shadowrun: Online has been in early access for some time, but it's finally been released to the world as Shadowrun Chronicles: Boston Lockdown and has officially left its Early Access moniker behind.

The renaming might have been to advertise that there is a standard campaign in the game now for players to fight and puzzle their way through, though like the tabletop experience it's likely designed to be played through several times. It could also be because the game can be played offline too though, so dropping the "online" part of the name was probably smart.

While the game's aesthetics are nothing to shout about, it does have a unique visual flair and it's received a lot of positive remarks in Steam reviews as being both faithful to the original RPG and producing a new and fun game in its own right.

This was developed by the guys who made Aerena: Clash of Champions, so they know what they're doing when it comes to turn based combat.

Have any of you tried this game while it's been in early access?
