Oscar-winning and Return to castle Woflenstein screenwriter, Roger Avary has been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and driving under the influence.
News reports didn't specify the accident's details, but it was reported that Avary "was the driver in a single-car collision" which ended up injuring his wife and killing his Itallian friend, Andrea Zini.
Avary's wife Gretchen, 40, was ejected from the car and found in the road by deputies. Both the wife and the friend made it to Ventura County Medical Center, but Zini died just a few hours after the accident.
Avary was released on $50,000 bail.
Avary who won an Academy Award along with Quentin Tarantino for writing "Pulp Fiction", wrote Silent Hill and Driver movie adaptations. He is also working on Return to Castle Woflenstein movie script.
