If you're aged over 25, then chances are you remember the exciting days of those early game equipped mobile phones. The 3310, the 3330 and their successors, all came pre-equipped with a few games, the most popular of which was Snake. At one point it was installed on over 400 million phones, which back in the late 90's, early 2000s, was a pretty enormous achievement.
However today of course, we're long past such trivial titles, with much more complicated and graphically pretty games like Candy Crush to be playing the likes of Snake... aren't we?
Well it looks like Snake is making a return, from the original creator Taneli Armanto no less. The game is called Snake Rewind and though we have a 2014 release date and a short trailer, there's not really any more information on the game.
The trailer shows off some improved lighting effects and different skin options for the game and there's an option to rewind from where you are. Presumably this is going to be linked in with micro-transactions, which might not help the game's popularity that much. What do you guys think?
