Sony confirmed today that it is actively investigating a growing number of cases where PlayStation 4 players are getting locked out of online features in games such as Killzone: Shadow Fall, Call of Duty: Ghosts and Battlefield 4.
According to Sony, affected users receive a misleading message informing them that they need PlayStation Plus to play online.
The problem was acknowledged by PlayStation Europe community manager Chris Owen on Twitter.
