Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) announced today that it would launch a special limited edition Aqua colour version of its PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system. A limited number of units of PlayStation 2 will be available across PAL territories from early March. Additional Aqua accessories will also be available in March including an Aqua Vertical Stand and a Memory Card (8MB).
This latest addition to the PlayStation 2 family comes to join the already available Satin Silver and original Black versions. The new Aqua PlayStation 2 is designed to fit in nicely as part of a state-of-the-art home entertainment system.
David Reeves, President and COO of SCEE said, We introduced our Silver Prestige Line PlayStation 2 before Christmas. It proved to be so successful that it was a natural extension to include one other colour to complement the range, and this new limited edition Aqua PlayStation 2 seemed just right for Europe in the Spring time.
The Aqua PlayStation 2 console will include an Analog Controller (DUALSHOCK 2). An Aqua coloured Vertical Stand and Memory Card (8MB) (for PlayStation 2) will also be released, offering users the fun of choosing their favourite colour that matches their taste and fits the room decoration.
Limited Numbers of Units Will Become Available at a Price of 199.99 (Euros)/ GBP 139.99.
