Speaking to investors, Sony Computer Entertainment Japan chief financial officer Nobuyuki Oneda confirmed that Playstation 3 won't be seeing price cuts any time soon.
Interestingly enough, Oneda using the same reasoning and analysis expressed by Microsoft's director of product management for Xbox 360 and Xbox Live, Aaron Greenberg, only 4 days ago.
Oneda even used almost the same words as he explained that Sony is "focusing on profitability".
"Our strategy is not to sell more quantity for PS3 but to concentrate on profitability," Oneda told SmartMoney.com. "Our plan is not to reduce the price."
Xbox 360 has already seen a price cut of $50 for its Pro model.
