According to by Susan Panico, senior director of the PlayStation Network at Sony, Playstation Home virtual items have been selling like hot cake.
Speaking to the Silicon Valley Insider, Panico refused to provide any solid numbers, but stated that sales of virtual items during the first 4 days after Playstation Home's launch generated more revenue for Sony than movies and videos had in their first week.
Playstation Home virtual items are sold from between $0.49 to $4.99 while movies and videos on the Playstation Network can cost up to $15.
Panico also noted that Playstation Home virtual items sales follow the "classic 80/20 model, where 20 percent of your customers create 80 percent of your income."
