Nintendo knows it's on to a winner with Splatoon. The third person shooter has been hailed by many as one of the Wii U's top upcoming games and it's been praised for some of its innovative mechanics in the genre. Because of that, the Japanese game maker is pulling out all of the stops to try and promote its upcoming launch, which is why along with a free weekend recently, it's been announced that in Japan, the game is also getting a Manga spin off.
It's not clear if this will be a one off comic released at the launch of the game, or whether it will end up being serialised for the forseeable future, but at least one issue is in the works, as some preview art has been posted to Twitter.
The Manga looks set to be bundled along with this month's issue of CoroCoro, a monthly Japanese manga published by Shogakukan, but interestingly there's not Nintendo logo anywhere on it.
Splatoon is set for release in just under two week's time, exclusively on the Wii U.
Are you guys excited for the game's launch?
