If you want to be one of the first to try out Fear the Wolves, the battle royale game from ex STALKER developers, then now's your chance, as they are holding another beta test and it's open for anyone to register to have a go.
Fear the Wolves is a first-person shooter, but with a battle royale twist. It's also set within the fall out zone surrounding Cherynoble, much like the STALKER series of games. Developed by Vostok Games and set to be published by Focus Home Interactive, the game saw its first big debut at E3 and now the developers want you to give it a try.
Like other battle royale games, you begin by parachuting down to the ground in a large, open map and must gather items and weapons to survive against a number of other players. This game looks far more realistic and graphically pleasing than any other battle royale games yet released and locks you in to a first-person mode, so it's as far from Fortnite as you can get in the crowded battle royale genre.
The title to the game is quite accurate though, as you do quite literally need to beware the wolves in the game which can come after you in huge packs. There's also radiation to be concerned with, alongside all of the other players who by now have looted guns and armaments of all sorts to take you down.
You aren't just trying to kill everyone yourself though. You're trying to get out. When that helicopter arrives, you better run for it.
If you want to sign up for the beta, you can do so now on the official website.
