"Hell, It's about time", those where the words Blizzard used when they announced the sequel to their most successful RTS, StarCraft. Actually, those same words will great you if you try to visit Blizzard's official site.
As previously expected, StarCraft 2 was officially announced in Blizzard's Korean Event. Blizzard has released several screenshots and artwork from StarCraft 2 along with two trailers. They have also announced that Dustin Browder will be the project's lead designer. Browder has worked on Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2, The Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle-Earth, Dark Reign 2 and The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth II.
Featuring a unique single-player campaign that picks up where StarCraft: Brood War left off, StarCraft II will present a cast of new heroes and familiar faces in an edgy sci-fi story filled with adventure and intrigue. Blizzard will also offer online play through Battle.net, the company's famous gaming service, with several enhancements and new features to make StarCraft II the ultimate competitive real-time strategy game.
