Steam Controller Redesigned Again

Valve's Steam Controller started off with a revolutionary design which replaced conventional thumb sticks and buttons with dual trackpads and a clickable touch screen. Not much later, user testing enticed the company to forgo the touchscreen in favor of traditional buttons.

Now, the controller has been tweaked again to be yet more traditional.

As spotted by SteamDB, the latest Beta Steam client includes an image of the Steam Controller after replacing the directional buttons by an analog stick.

As hardcore gamers, we certainly feel at home with the reintroduced analog stick. Nonetheless, we hope the Steam Controller won't perform a full circle and end up as yet another traditional controller.
