Most of us have a good number of Steam games in our collections, a number of which many of us have probably never played, but then there are the people who aren't average Steam users. People like PalmDesert have thousands of games and have played a good number of them, because through unlocking trading cards, badges, completing achievements, he's reached level 1,000 on his Steam account.
This isn't any real surprise for people who keep up such achievements, as PalmDesert has been at the top of the leaderboard of life when it comes to playing games, for quite a while now. He owns over two thirds of all games on Steam, with a total of 5,029 in his collection, with more than 3,372 pieces of downloadable content and extras.
He must have spent 10s of thousands of dollars to amass his collection and with many more thousands of hours invested in them, it's hard to judge whether he got his money's worth or not.
He certainly did with Rocksmith though, where he's spent closing in on 600 hours shredding away and learning guitar as he goes. Left 4 Dead 2 is his favourite game ever though. To date he's amassed a ridiculous 943 hours. That is more than most people have spent on their entire Steam libraries. It seems safe to say that PalmDesert is a decent gamer.
Or at least has more free time than the rest of the world combined.
What title have you spent the most time on? For me it's Mount and Blade Warband. I have over 450 hours at this point. Not too shabby.
