Researchers at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business have surveyed 47,000 Kickstarter backers and analyzed 30,000 Kickstarter projects to find out that nearly 9.95% of successfully backed Kickstarter projects fail to deliver.
To be honest, we expected that number to be much higher. In fact, we wouldn't be too surprised to find that those odds are better than professional development studios'.
The study also discovered that Kickstarter users are not fazed by unsuccessful projects. Seventy three percent of respondents who backed unsuccessful or unsatisfactory projects indicated that they would still back other Kickstarter projects.
