Although it wouldn't be surprising if you guessed the first Titanfall was too much of a flash in the pan to warrant a full sequel, you'd be wrong. A new teased trailer for Titanfall 2 has been released, showing a drop pod, a stomping titan leg and a massive sword which it presumably wields to destruct its robotic foes.
The new game has been made by Respawn, the same developer that put together the original Titanfall, with its innovative movement, use of NPC enemies to give you something to shoot at that might not kill you and its mishmash of human and titan gameplay.
Titanfall wasn't a bad game by any means, but its lack of longevity was its downfall, something that many players suggest, was the fault of not enough content. With limited maps, limited game modes, Respawn and its publisher EA, hoped to expand the game through DLC. This however, left the base game a bit weak on the content front, leaving gamers in turn, feeling rinsed for their cash when a hefty amount of post launch content was announced.
Not too dissimilar to the problem Evolve faced a year later.
Understandably, this has many commenters predicting that we'll see a season pass trailer for Titanfall 2 before a full game trailer, that what players will be fighting over is content rather than resources, etc. etc.
What do you think? Is Titanfall 2 something you would be interested in playing?
