In an earnings call with investros today, Electronic Arts chief financial officer Blake Jorgensen revealed that the company's upcoming First Person Shooter, TitanFall, will remain exclusive to Xbox and Windows platforms "for the life of the title."
"It's a brand new IP, and it's exclusive only for the life of the title on Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PCs," said Jorgenson in response to an investor's question. The CFO then asserted that TitanFall won't be released on PlayStation or any other platform at any point.
Following the announcement, Vince Zampella, co-founder of TitanFall developer Respawn, revealed that he had always assumed that the game was a timed exclusive and "only found out recently" that this was not the case.
Zampella assured his Twitter followers that other titles in Respawn's pipeline will be released on platforms besides Windows and Xbox.
