The Super Nintendo (SNES) is one of the most successful consoles ever. It has sold nearly 50 million units by the time its production stopped in 2003 and we are sure there are quite a lot of those still in working condition. If you have one of them, it might be time to fetch it from the cellar and brush it up to be able to play the console's latest game which is set for release next year.
Spotted by NeoGAF forum member, Hayama Akito, Unholy Night: The Darkness Hunter is a new fighting game for the SNES currently being developed by a team of ex-SNK employees. Apparently the group met more than a decade after the SNES went defunct and decided to take what they learned from making The King of Fighters and The Art of Fighting and combine it into a new SNES fighting game.
The game itself looks to have a supernatural spin with werewolves and vampires among the 6 playable characters. It is set for release on actual 32 Megabytes SNES cartridges in February 2017. The cartridge's price has not been determined yet. It is also still unclear whether the game will be released on PC or not, though we are quite sure it will eventually be dumped by emulation fans.
Whatever info available about the game can be found on this (Chinese) page.
