Masses of Xbox 360 Team Fortress 2 players complained that their 6v6 and 8v8 matches have been rendered unplayable due to unacceptable and unexplainable lags which usually end with a "Connection to host lost" error message.
Valve has realized, admitted and fixed the problem. However, unlike PC games, Xbox 360 patches are not immediate. Instead, the patch has to make the rounds through Microsoft's certification process and through the Xbox Live pipes.
Valve anticipates the title update will arrive in gamers' hands either sometime this weekend or early next week, but no specific date is available.
No networking problems have been identified in the PC version.
