The official dedicated web site for the recently announced, Darkwatch: Curse of the West, was launched by Sammy Studios, the game's developer.
Darkwatch: Curse of the West, an all-new 1st person shooter (FPS) with an original premise blending Vampire-Horror and Western genres. The game is a cinematic FPS, framed by a story and visual design that delivers a frightening re-imagination of the Wild West.
Darkwatch: Curse of the West is the first title developed internally at Sammy Studios, created by the team who launched Sammy's US-based game development studio and publishing headquarters in 2002. Unique features include superhuman abilities in the game's vampire-bitten gunslinger hero, Jericho Cross, and horse-mounted gunplay on his high-powered demon steed. In addition, an ancient monster-hunting society called the Darkwatch provide Jericho with advanced weapon and vehicle technology, giving gamers myriad ways in which to dispatch the undead.
The newly launched web site is the official online destination for the game, offering an inside look by unveiling screenshots and the game's first video trailer; a full CG introduction of Jericho and his deadly skills. Darkwatch: Curse of the West is slated for release on Sony PlayStation 2 and Microsoft Xbox in Q4 2004 at an MSRP of USD 49.99.
Visitors to the Darkwatch will get access to constant updates such as media releases, new screenshots and movies and press previews. Guests who join the Darkwatch will receive exclusive content, including unreleased game updates and diaries from the game's development team. Once the game releases, the site will become the destination for players looking for hints and strategies to unlock the
