This year's E3 expo was full of curse words, with presenters dropping f***s and s***s like there was no tomorrow, but when it came to outright gore, censorship held sway and we didn't get to see scorpion perform his fatality from the latest Mortal Kombat game in all its glory.
Fortunately the live show wasn't censored, just the online stream, so now we have some phone footage of the original clip, which gives us a real up close and personal view with Sub Zero's internal organs.
If for some reason you're unable to watch the savagery above but want to know what happens, our stinger-wristed friend launches a fireball right through Sub Zero's midsection, creating a giant scorched hole like we're in a Kung Pow sequel. Sub Zero's heart then drops down into the hole, still beating, as the icey figure falls to his knees.
At this point, Scorpion pulls out a short sword and cuts his face off. It proceeds to slide to the floor, as his brain tumbles out and his tongue lolls about in the empty mouth.
Mortal Kombat X is coming to PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC sometime next year.
