More than 10 years after its debut, a Wii emulator has finally evolved enough to be able to access the Wii Shop Channel and buy games from it.
This breakthrough means that Dolphin emulator users will be able to interact with Nintendo's digital storefront like Wii owners and have access to the console's entire library.
Of course Nintendo would never condone this behavior and it is entirely possible they would implement additional safeguards to detect emulator users and revoke their purchases; though we don't really expect the company to bother.
