Windows 10's Fall Creators Update is now available

Microsoft's big update for Windows 10, the Fall Creators Update, is now rolling out to around the world. If you haven't received it yet, you will do soon, but if that's not fast enough for you, there is something you can do to get the process started a little sooner.

There are a lot of features coming with the Fall Creators Update, including a new photo app, a mixed reality viewer and it brings support for those mixed reality headsets that Microsoft has been working on for a while now.

Other updates released as part of this big patch include enhanced Cortana support with new "power commands," on-demand files within the OneDrive storage utility, emoji enhanced communications in My People, improved eye control and dictation support, ranomsware protections, enhancements to game mode, improvements to Microsoft Edge and a whole lot more.

Microsoft released a 30 minute breakdown of the software's various features in the video above, but if you'd rather get your information in blog form, there's a whole post about it on Microsoft's site too.

If you're excited by all that and can't wait to get the update, you can head to the official update site to see if you're part of the initial roll out. If you are, you can start the download and update process immediately. Otherwise, you'll need to wait a little while, but it won't be long until you too can get the latest version of Windows.
