The Witcher III: Wild Hunt was always a beautiful game, but three years on from its release, there are improvements that can (and have) been made. The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Mod Project is one such collection of improvements and the 10.0 Reborn version is the best one yet, with a number of exciting additions which make Geralt and the world he inhabits drop dead gorgeous.
The quality and clarity of textures has a major effect on the look of the game, with increased resolution and contrast making walls, armor, dirt, and rocks look far more realistic, with minute details popping into view like never before. The more than 1,000 reworked textures introduced with this patch have really rounded off some of Witcher 3's sharper edges, making for a much more nuanced and believable looking world.
As for the structural side of the world, there are now more than 250 new models used in the game. That includes people, inanimate objects, and buildings, making them less jagged, more flowing and natural, and just better looking overall.
When combined with all of the existing beautification made possible with this mod — reworked water, improved foliage, a more realistic color palette, better furs and hair, among many others — HD Reworked could be the definitive Witcher 3 experience.
