For the first time ever, Xbox 360 outsold Wii in Japan during the week that ended on September 14.
According to sales data provided by Enterbrain, Xbox 360 sold 28,268 units during said week while Wii sold 27,057 units. For comparison, Playstation 3 managed to sell just 8050 units during the same week.
During the week before that, Xbox 360 sold only 843 in Japan. The sharp rise in Xbox 360 sales is attributed to Microsoft introducing bigger Hard Drives and cutting the console's price simultaneously as well as the release of Square Enix's Infinite Undiscovery.
