Microsoft has announced a competition for XBox Live players in Europe in order to celebrate the first birthday of the service. The competition ends on March 14th, exactly a year after the commercial launch of XBox Live in Europe.
All you need to do to be in with a chance of winning is play on Xbox Live in Europe between 1 and 14 March 2004. Each day Microsoft will be choosing 36 Gamertags at random from those who played, and if you're one of the lucky ones you could walk away with:
Star prize: A cheque for a whopping Euros 1,000.
35 runners up prizes: An Xbox Live goody bag, containing an Xbox Controller S, a limited edition Xbox Live t-shirt and ten top games including Project Gotham Racing 2, Top Spin, Crimson Skies: Highroad to Revenge, Amped 2, Links 2004, Voodoo Vince, NHL Rivals 2004, NFL Fever 2004, Grabbed by the Ghoulies and Midtown Madness 3!
All XBox Live players wanting to enter the competition must remember to opt in for communication from Microsoft. Without that option enabled Microsoft will not contact you even if your GT number is a winning one.
