Microsoft's Xbox Live service is currently going through its longest downtime in quite a spell, with the core services experiencing limited functionality, the store down and even expanded services like TV watching and Music listening are severely restricted or not-working altogether.
Reports have been coming in about this since the start of the week, and Microsoft has finally begun acknowledging the issue, suggesting that anyone with concerns head to the support pages for the latest updates. At the time of writing, all of the big services are said to be limited, with only the Xbox website and its social services said to be functioning correctly.
As usual the Xbox Support twitter accounts have been inundated with users asking for updates, but for now their responses are all the same. They apologise for the problem and suggest that everyone continue to check the status page for any updates.
Of course right now there are none. Nobody knows what's downed the Xbox services, what's being done to fix them and when they might be back, but it doesn't seem like it's going to be fixed any time in the immediate future, leaving a lot of gamers - especially those trying to play online-only titles - out in the cold.
Are you missing your gaming fix because Xbox Live is down?
