Although it's built with premium materials, one of the Xbox One Elite controller's most exciting features is that it will finally allow gamers to remap the buttons if they want to, customising the way they play their games with their controller - it only seems fair.
However the Elite controller isn't cheap, coming in at $150 in the U.S. and up to $200 in some other territories, so chances are most gamers won't be shelling out for it. Fortunately then they won't have to just to remap their controls, as that feature is now set to come to all gamepads before long.
This was confirmed by Microsoft's Mike Ybarra last night, stating in response to a question from fans about why it was that Sony allowed all PlayStation gamers to remap their controls, but Microsoft wanted to charge for the privilege. That just wasn't true according to Ymarra, who then promised that "it's coming for all controllers soon."
But this isn't all. As EG points out, Microsoft has also promised another much requested feature - background music - will be added to the Xbox One. This is yet another feature that will bring the One in-line with the PS4, as it has had that ability for some time already.
Are there any other common PlayStation features that you would like to see on the Xbox One?
