Microsoft's head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, has said that the Xbox One may gain backwards compatibility with select titles from the original Xbox console. While far form an official announcement, he said in a chat with a fan on Twitter that Microsoft hadn't ruled it out, but that they aren't working on it right now.
Backwards compatibility is always something gamers look to in a console, as not only does it mean that often those games they already own can be played on the newer system - in the case of physical media - or can at least expand the potential library of compatible games if they are download only.
@James1o1o We haven't ruled it out but we aren't working on it right now. I'd like to find the time to do it.

While we may not be getting that sort of deep-backwards compatibility on the Xbox One any time soon, it does seem like it's something Microsoft would consider, especially for specific titles that have a strong following despite their age.
"I'd like to find the time to do it," said Spender in the tweet, suggesting that this may be something that gets sorted for the Xbox One once someone pulls their finger out and makes it happen.
The question is, which games would be the best choice? Personally I'd like to see re-releases of Battle Engine Aquila and Conker: Live and Reloaded. What about you guys?
