EB Games Australia have issued a recall on Every single Premium Xbox 360 they had in-stock.
According to an EB Games insider, by the end of June store managers were asked by head office to test every unit in-stock for error. But later (this week), they were ordered to return their entire inventories of the console, as well as remove all 360 promotional material and dummy boxes from their stores.
No explanation has been given for the recall. But since no Core Xbox 360 units were recalled, it is reasonable to assume that the problem had to do with a faulty batch of Hard Disk Drives.
EB Games currently list Premium Xbox 360 as "Sold Out". New, quality-assured shipments of consoles should have reached the company's Queensland HQ by Monday, and will have turned up in most stores across Australia by Wednesday.
