Zelda: Majora's Mask confirmed for 3DS port

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask is set to be re-released on Nintendo's 3DS handheld, just shy of 15 years after its original release on the Nintendo 64.

"Whenever there is a meeting, a parting is sure to follow. However, that parting need not last forever..." reads the description on the video, revealed by Nintendo yesterday as part of one its Direct airings.

Set for release Next Spring on 3DS and 2DS, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D looks faithfully recreated and best of all, it doesn't require an expansion pack like the original N64 version did, thereby limiting its audience as that extra memory wasn't cheap back then.

Despite that though, Majora's Mask is still one of the most well remembered Zelda titles and has only been exposed to contemporary gamers through a port on the Wii virtual console back in 2009.

Now though a new generation of players has a chance to head back to Termina and try and stop that moon crashing to earth.
