After being awarded a $500 million injunction in its lawsuit against Oculus, ZeniMax is now moving to block the sale of Oculus Rift altogether.
Zenimax - Bethesda's parent company - filed a lawsuit last year, alleging that the Oculus Rift was built using tech and trade secrets that were poached by John Carmack when he moved from the former to the later. Interestingly enough, the jury condemned Facebook and Oculus in most charges, but exonerated Carmack himself and reduced the compensation from $4 billion to $500 million.
According to Reuters, Zenimax has now filed a new lawsuit, asking for an injunction prohibiting Oculus from selling any products that contain Zenimax's tech. Given the results of the previous lawsuit, it is likely that Oculus will have to reach a settlement with Zenimax in order to continue selling its virtual reality headset.
