Increases the surface friction multipliers used by all vehicles. More grip, better accel, easier slides.
A quick n dirty mod made while working on something else, simply increases the friction multipliers for the surfaces that all vehicles use.
Turns out a lot of the snap oversteer with sports/super cars/bikes is (partly) due to the difference in these numbers being too great, leading to a snappy/annoying switch between min/max grip. With this they get up and go quicker, hold top speed better, corner better and sliding should be easier to control in most situations. The limit of grip is increased so harder driving is required to induce oversteer.
Unfortunately this can induce wheelies or even more sudden oversteer in some cars on rough roads like all the incredibly janky hairpin turns, the VanillaPlus version is safer in this regard.
Included in the .yml are the vanilla values (commented out like so: #1.2), feel free to make edits and find what works for you. Pushing past what I've set the values to can introduce more issues than benefits and far enough the cars just bug out. FrictionLat = Lateral or side to side grip. FrictionLong = Longitudinal or forward/reverse grip.
Lmk if I missed anything, this should impact everything to varying degrees. Don't edit using RedHotTools for hot reloads, these values seem to only apply correctly on a full restart of the game.
Just extract into your game folder. The files should end up in Cyberpunk 2077/r6/tweaks.
