3DS Game Used To Launch Homebrew Apps Pulled From Nintendo Store

Nintendo has removed Ironfall: Invasion from its online store after a hackers discovered a way to use it to launch homebrew apps on the 3DS.

The hack was discovered by Jordan "Smealum" Rabet who was responsible for a similar hack last year using Ubisoft's Cubic Ninja. This time around Rabet didn't divulge his exploit details. Instead, he shared a video proof and asked gamers to download the free-to-start game as soon as possible. According to developer VDev, the game was downloaded several hundred thousand times in the short window between Rabet's video and its removal from the app store.

In the meanwhile, Rabet has shifted his attention to YouTube 3DS app. It might be a good time to download and install Google's famous video streaming app.
