Bad luck for those that pre-ordered the latest Batman game almost a year ago, as despite taking many months longer to develop than initially projected, it's launched on the PC with a number of issues, some of which are performance related, whilst the others seem to stem from problems with the file system.
Issues with frame rates are mostly linked to those using AMD graphics cards, with some users reporting that the FPS can drop to just five at times. This prompted Warner Bros to literally update the minimum specificaitons for AMD hardware over night, bumping it to a 7950.
There has been some suggestion that this is another instance of Nvidia collusion, as the original specifications suggestions for the game didn't even include an AMD option. The Batman games have traditionally had quite a tight relationship with Nvidia too.
However Nvidia users aren't excluded from these issues. Some users have reported problems with even high end hardware like the GTX 980 and Titan X cards, with frame rates sometimes dropping as low as 10FPS.
The other issues have found corruption and problems with the game cache, forcing users to verify and redownload big chunks of the game before they can play.
At a poor frame rate.
Any of you suffering with the new Batman game's problematic launch?
