Despite being released over a year after its initial intended date, suspended for many months and lambasted as one of the worst launches of all games in 2015, the re-released version of Batman: Arkham Knight on the PC is still said to have a number of teething issues.
For starters, there are still graphical problems. If you were hoping to bring your SLI/Xfire rig to bear on the open world experience, tough luck as there is no support for it. There's also graphical stuttering and frame rate drops for some people, as well as graphical options that will not cooperate or turn on correctly.
Enemies and friendlies alike will get stuck in buildings too, or get trapped trying to walk around objects, breaking immersion on a regular basis and making some of them a pain in the neck to take out.
There's also an occasional reboot bug that has problems with hard drive paging on Windows 7 and in Windows 10, Rocksteady is recommending all users have a minimum of 12GB of RAM to guarantee a smooth gameplay experience.
There's even still some issues with the grappling hook causing automatic reboots on some systems.
As you might expect, players have jumped onto Reddit and elsewhere to slam the game makers pointing out all of the issues that still exist after months and months of attempted fixes.
Perhaps this will stop studious outsourcing ports to other companies. What do you think?
