The president of Bungie, Harold Ryan, has stepped down from his role at the Destiny developer. He didn't give a statement as to why or what he would be doing in the future either, which is strange, since he's been president at the company since 2000, before the release of the original Halo: Combat Evolved.
There was however a statement from former COO Pete Parsons, who, looking to the future, will now take on the position of CEO:
"I want you to know that my number one priority, and Bungie’s, is and always has been to deliver great games that we can all share together," he said (via VG247).
"I believe that Destiny is a one-of-a-kind experience. I also believe you have yet to see our studio’s best work. My new role here at the studio will be entirely focused on fulfilling that promise."
He's talking tough, but not all is rosy at Bungie. While Destiny has proved a big success since its launch, its run into some issues as of late, with players frustrated at new matchmaking systems and a lack of announcements on future content. There are also rumors that the sequel, Destiny 2, has been pushed back beyond its planned 2016 release window.
