Cheating at multiplayer games is something that different people do for different reasons. Some, as Michael Caine said, just want to watch the world burn, while others find their skills lacking and want to level the playing field. Others still, just want to be able to play in a world where the former two can't kill them with ease.
Still, regardless of why people do it, it should be a lot harder to get away with it in GTA V Online moving forward, as Rockstar has implemented some brand new cheat detection systems which it says will mean catching out a lot more of those that like to ruin the fun for everyone else.
"As part of our ongoing commitment to combat cheating and griefing, we have recently implemented new systems to allow us to more efficiently detect and target any players found running mods and cheat programs within GTA Online," it said in aan update.
"As a reminder, any attempt to tamper with the behavior of GTA Online by installing or executing mods, scripts, or other exploits, modifying the game files or manipulating the game in any way while it is executing will result in disciplinary action including but not limited to time in the cheater pool, bans and potential suspension of your account."
It also thanked those that had continued to be vigilant in reporting and providing evidence of cheaters so that Rockstar could act.
