Not a fan of WASD movement? The latest patch for Dragon Age: The Veilguard is for you then, as it allows you to finally use the arrow keys for movement, as well as adding a whole bunch of new fixes and quality of life changes.
News in brief
- Dragon Age: The Veilguard's new patch adds support for arrow key movement
- There's an enormous amount of bug fixes too
- Budding photographers will also be happy about the improvements to Photo Mode
Using the WASD keys for movement is a tradition almost as old as PC gaming itself, but it's not the preferred method for a number of people. Because, let's face it, it's very easy to hit a bunch of other keys while trying to find the right keys, and some people just don't have time for that. Dragon Age: The Veilguard launched with an odd restriction that meant the arrow keys — the most common replacement for the WASD keys — wasn't available.
That seems to have been a simple oversight, because it's been very quickly added back in with this patch, giving those players who want it an option to not have to wrestle with WASD.
Also included in the patch is a staggering amount of bug fixes, which is admittedly to be expected in most games released these days. A far larger sin would be not fixing the bugs, so we guess we're happy that they're being fixed. But those who love take photos in Photo Mode will also find a lot to enjoy here too, as improvements have been made to how the shots taken are labelled, and Filters have been added too, for that Instagram-ready finish.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard is one of those RPGs which is likely to take tens of hours to complete, especially if you're intent on hitting every side quest on the way to the end. So, if you're someone who's knees-deep in what Dragon Age: The Veilguard has to offer, make sure to download this patch before you boot up the game again, so you can be as bug-free as possible.
