If you've been eagerly waiting for Evolve, Turtle Rock's upcoming asymmetrical shooter, stomper, then get ready, as it's just gone gold. The beta is set to take place in just a few days time and the release is only a month away.
To celebrate this momentous occasion, the developer's released a new cinematic for the game that does something very few others do: actually represent gameplay. It features monster hunting, shooting, dodging and hunters taking some real hits. Just like it is in the actual game.
While obviously prettied up for the video, it looks in-engine too, which you have to praise the developers for doing. It shows a lot of confidence in their work.
Evolve is set for release on February 10, with the beta set to begin next week on the 15th for those with Xbox Ones and live access. On the 16th PC players will get a chance to stress test their servers once again, with PS4 owners coming onboard on the 17th. However, the latter two will only be able to play traditional hunt modes, while Xbox owners will get a chance to try out Evacuation, the main game mode.
