In a financial statement released to investors, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot revealed that Far Cry 4 will be released on November 18 in North America and November 21 in Europe on PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
"The year's performance will be led by five games - Assassin's Creed Unity, Far Cry 4, Just Dance, The Crew and Watch Dogs," said the statement. "Watch Dogs' pre-orders are at record levels and it is perfectly positioned to become the industry's most successful new IP in history."
According to Ubisoft blog, "Far Cry 4 is set in Kyrat, an untamed region currently ruled by a despotic self-appointed king. But don’t be lulled into a false sense of security by the achingly beautiful views; Kyrat is a wild land full of perils. Once again, players will be able to craft their own stories as they travel through this exotic open world teeming with wildlife – using their wits along with an assortment of powerful weapons and diverse vehicles."
Development on Far Cry 4 is being led by Ubisoft Montreal in collaboration with Red Storm Entertainment, Ubisoft Toronto, Ubisoft Shanghai and Ubisoft Kiev. More info about the game will be shared in Ubisoft’s media briefing at E3.
