New Call of Duty games used to make hundreds of millions of dollars in few days, but it looks like the recently released Infinite Warfare isn't enjoying the same success.
Infinite Warfare was released on November 4th and Activision Blizzard still didn't reveal its sales figures. For a series that had a habit of boasting its day one sales figures, this is a clear sign that the game is not doing so well. Even more alarming for Activision, Infinite Warfare didn't even make to Steam's top 10 most played games. At the time of writing, the game sits around the 40th position in the list of Steam's daily most played games with title such Euro Truck Simulator 2, Farming Simulator 17 and Clicker Heroes ahead of it.
Infinite Warfare has received generally favorable critics reviews with an average MetaCritic score of 80% but it is equally ill-received by gamers who gave it an average rating of 2.6 on Xbox One and 3.3 on PS$ (out of 10 points). The general consensus is that the game delivers solid gameplay but offers nothing new, especially on the multiplayer front.
It is worth noting that Infinite Warfare is available on Windows 10 Store and that who play that version of the game are not tracked by Steam.
